Kamagong (also called "ironwood") is a heavier than rattan and is a hardwood found in the Philippine islands, just like rattan. Kamagong is considered ideal for heavy use for its strength and potential power. The wood is dark and dense, giving the sticks a mysterious quality about them.
Historically these sticks were used in combat between tribes as well as in challenge matches. These kamagong sticks are perfect for training and even real-world defense. Each of these sticks are 28-inches long and approximately 7/8-inches in diameter.
However, they are heavyweight sticks, more so than our rattan sticks, so they're an excellent choice for building up your wrist and forearm strength. This can make your strikes faster and more powerful. They'll also help you with your body mechanics, which can also help you weather a self-protection scenario.
As is the case with all of our training weapons you'll also be able to display these tools, they're so aesthetically pleasing.
